Fender '59 Bassman Reissue Guitar Amp (1990) w/ Flight Case
Beschreibung
One of the greatest guitar amps ever made, the mighty 4x10" Bassman began life as a bass amp before guitar players discovered its sonic wonders and adopted it as their own. Prized by guitarists everywhere for more than half a century now, it lives on as a must-have guitar amp treasured for its pure sound, workhorse reliability, classic style and uncluttered ease of use. Wide stage coverage, touch-sensitive dynamics and full-frequency tone make it perfect for building great sound with any guitar and effect.
I got this directly from Fender in 1990 the first year of the reissue. It came with a solid state rectifier which immediately got swapped for a 5AR4 rectifier tube, thus making it a 5F6-A configuration with the 4 ten-inch Jensens. This amp has seen hundreds of gigs all over Europe and looks the part. (Someone will always place drinks on your amp!). If this were a guitar they'd probably call it «reliced». No need here, it's the real thing.
I ran this on Groove Tubes, JJs, even NOS RCAs and finally various TAD tube configurations. No matter what you do, it always sounds like a Tweed Bassman, always does the job, always got well looked after. And it's LOUD!
I'm selling it because my taste in amps has changed. After switching to a Matchless Brave 2x12 and later a handwired custom 1x15" amp I finally got hold of a couple of Magnatones and there's no turning back. This Bassman should be played, is ready to go – and It will outlive us all.
4x10" Jensen Alnico speakers, 2 6L6 power tubes, 3 12AX7 preamp tubes, 45 Watts into 2 Ohms, classic lacquered tweed, weighs 24 kg, made in the USA.
